RMG hosted a concluding ceremony at its Kazreti office to celebrate the successful completion of its Summer School 2026 student support program. This year’s program welcomed international students alongside Georgian participants for the first time.
Launched and supported by RMG, the Summer School provides students with opportunities to gain practical experience, develop professional skills, and deepen their understanding of the mining industry for the 8th consecutive year. The program is implemented in partnership with the Georgian Technical University and the Tbilisi State University. For the first time this year, the program adopted an international format.

During the month-long internship in August, participants were assigned to various departments according to their professional interests and specializations. They received intensive practical training in geology, resource geology, geotechnics, mine surveying, underground mining, ore processing, and chemical technologies. The international participants came from Germany, Croatia, and Egypt and visited Georgia as part of TIMREX (T-Shaped Master Programme for Innovative Mineral Resource Exploration), a European international master’s program.

At the concluding ceremony, students delivered group presentations highlighting the knowledge and practical experience they had gained throughout the program. RMG General Director Joni Shubitidze, together with faculty members from Georgian Technical University, presented the participants with certificates and commemorative gifts in recognition of their successful completion of the internship.
