RMG’s one-month paid internship program Summer School will host the 6th wave of students in August.
RMG has revealed the participants for the internship program Summer School 2024, after a 2-week selection of applicants. This year, the program extends its reach by including students from both the Georgian Technical University and the Tbilisi State University for the first time.
Out of 26 students selected by the jury for their exemplary academic achievements and motivation, 19 are from the Faculty of Mining and Geology at the Technical University, and 7 from the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences at Tbilisi State University, specializing in Geology.
During an informational meeting at RMG’s Mining and Geological Technology Center, students were briefed on the project details, its progression, and the closing event scheduled for September, which will feature presentations by participants and an award ceremony.
Launched in 2018, RMG’s Summer School is a paid, one-month internship offered to students during the summer holidays, providing practical experience at RMG’s enterprise in Kazreti. Students will be positioned in various structural units of the company relevant to their field of study, including geology, drilling technologies, mineral processing, mining surveying, geotechnics, and mining technologies.
The Program allows students to get maximum practical experience in a short time and to use the theoretical knowledge obtained at the university in a real situation at the enterprise.
As part of its commitment to corporate responsibility, RMG follows the UN Sustainable Development Goals, prioritizing several of them, including the goal of quality education. The company actively supports educational initiatives, including student programs conducted in partnership with higher education institutions, to foster practical learning and development.
