RMG Summer School 2022

In the central office of RMG in Kazreti, the summing up event of the “RMG Summer School” supporting project for students was held. The project was held for the 4th time this year, and within its framework, the company hosted 21 students of the Faculty of Mining and Geology of the Technical University of Georgia.

At the beginning of summer, the project participants, selected as a result of the interview, went through a one-month paid internship in RMG enterprises in August. Based on the selected academic programs at the Technical University of Georgia, they were allocated to the following areas: labor safety and emergency management, geology, drilling technologies, mineral processing, land surveying, geotechnics and mining technologies.

The summer school project, on the one hand, gives young people the opportunity to practically get to know the activity that they have chosen as their future profession, and on the other hand, it gives the company the opportunity to get to know these young people, their interests., to show them the international standards and requirements established in the company, so that in the future the parties will have the most fruitful cooperation.” – said Giorgi Chkheidze. In order to summarize the results of the one-month intensive practical and theoretical training in different structural units of the company, the project participants made presentations to RMG managers and professors of the Faculty of Mining and Geology of STU. In the final part of the event, students were awarded certificates and souvenirs.

The goal of the “RMG Summer School” project is to find motivated young people interested in mining, share the best practical experience with them and promote employment in the future.

RMG is implementing the summer school project for the fourth time this year , since 2018 about 100 students have already participated in it. 20 of them are already members of the company’s team , and 15 are undergoing long-term internships in the company.
