On February 3, RMG’s Scholarship Program officially started accepting applications. For the 7th consecutive year, the company has been awarding scholarships to mining and geology students. This year, for the first time, students from Tbilisi State University (TSU) will join their counterparts from Georgian Technical University (GTU) and participate in the scholarship competition.
Since 2018, students from the GTU’s faculties of Mining and Geology, Energy, Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Informatics and Control Systems, and Mechanical Engineering have been participating in the RMG’s scholarship competition. The project’s goal is to identify and support motivated, study-focused engineering students. This year, the company is also offering the one-year scholarship opportunity for the students at the TSU’s Geology program of the Exact and Natural Sciences Faculty.
II-IV year Bachelors’, Master’s, and Doctoral Students from GTU and TSU, who study on the above-mentioned faculties must submit their academic transcript, CV, and motivation letter by February 14, 2025, via e-mail at: scholarship@richmetalsgroup.com
Based on a two-stage interview process, 25 students will be selected to receive company’s one-year scholarship.
It is noteworthy that, over the past 7 years, around 500 GTU students have participated in the competition. Out of them, 128 students were awarded scholarships by the scholarship commission, which consists of company’s senior managers. RMG scholarship holders have a high employment rate; of the 128 recipients, the company has started employment with up to 70 of them.
Promoting quality education is one of RMG’s key priorities, which the company supports as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility and in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goal #4.
