The company’s representatives also took part in a session on the transition to renewable energy, organized by the UN Global Compact Network Georgia in collaboration with networks from Turkey, France, Portugal, Denmark, China, and Sweden.
The 29th Conference on Climate Change took place in Baku from November 11 to 22. COP29’s goal is to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels, in order to avoid the most severe impacts of climate change, including more frequent and intense droughts, heatwaves, and floods.
To achieve this, the conference addressed the urgent need to accelerate the transition to renewable energy, reduce emissions, provide increased and effective financing for emission reductions, and manage the consequences of climate change.
