RMG’s Scholarship holders for 2025 were officially announced in a ceremonial event at the company’s Tbilisi office.
This year, in addition to students from the Georgian Technical University, students from the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences at Tbilisi State University (TSU) also participated in the scholarship competition. Their involvement followed the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between RMG and the TSU.
Commemorative certificates were awarded to the 20 selected students by RMG’s General Director Joni Shubitidze and Deputy General Director Malkhaz Natsvilishvili, alongside with the representatives from the Faculty of Mining and Geology of the Georgian Technical University.
Approximately 150 bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students from Georgian Technical University (faculties of Mining-Geology, Energy, Chemical Technologies and Metallurgy, Informatics and Management Systems) and Tbilisi State University took part in the competition. The final 20 scholars were chosen through a two-stage interview process, and they will receive financial support from the company for one year.
RMG’s scholarship is annually granted to students who demonstrate academic excellence, motivation, and a strong commitment to their studies. The program aims to identify promising young engineers, support their development, and help foster their professional growth.
Established in 2018 by RMG for students of the Georgian Technical University, the scholarship program aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 4 – Quality Education – and reflects the company’s commitment to active involvement in educational initiatives.
