This week, the company signed an official sponsorship agreement with Georgian fencer Sandro Bazadze, who is ranked #4 in the world ranking of sword fencers. The example of Sandro Bazadze’s sports success and the World Cup organized at a high level in Tbilisi at the beginning of the year made the company interested in this type of sport.
“Fencing is a new direction for us. Our company was the general sponsor of the World Cup held in Tbilisi on January 14-17, where Sandro Bazadze won a gold medal and a convincing victory. It was a very impressive sight. RMG will be the official sponsor of Sandro Bazadze at competitions and tournaments in the 2022 calendar. Sandro is a very talented and strong athlete, and we have high hopes for him,” said RMG corporate director Kakhaber Mchedlishvili.
Fencer Sandro Badzadze said that he won the gold medal at the World Cup with the company’s support and noted that it was the best start.
“The main plan for 2022 is to achieve success at the European and World Championships in the summer, for which I am preparing with all my heart. At this point, I am training in France with one of the strongest coaches, Christian Bauer, who does not allow me to relax. I think that all this will definitely bring positive results. At the beginning of the year, our cooperation with RMG started with great success, I won a gold medal at the World Cup with the company’s support. I think it was the best start and I will try very hard to continue this year with the same success”, said fencer Sandro Bazadze.
