At the 22nd award of the media holding “Georgian Times” business rating, traditionally, the best companies selected by experts were named. This year, the company RMG became the winner of the national business award.
At the business rating ceremony, the company was awarded in two main nominations: the largest employer in the region and high environmental responsibility.
The company was also given a transitional award for high corporate social responsibility. For the second time this year, RMG became the preferred company of the media as a result of a secret vote.
” RMG has been operating in Georgia for the tenth year. We are the leader of the Georgian mining business, which today already includes about 3700 people and more than 100 contractor companies related to the company. From 2020 to today, despite two difficult, pandemic years, 740 new employees were employed in the company, which contributes to the strengthening of the region’s economy and its sustainable development. Along with employment promotion, environmental protection is both the main challenge and priority for our company. In order to minimize the impact on the environment during mining activities and to ensure the best balance, RMG has been implementing an environmental program since 2018, within the framework of which about 100 environmental projects or mitigation measures have already been implemented”, said Giorgi Chkheidze, Deputy Director of RMG for HR issues.
At the 22nd award of the business rating, which is held with the support of Tbilisi City Hall and various state agencies, 26 best companies and businessmen were identified. According to the organizers, the goal of the project is to determine the most successful sectors in the national business and support dialogue between business, government and society.
